Albion Online Dragonfire Patch 1 Is Live: Shorter Ancient Lands Portal Waits

Albion Online Dragonfire patch notes — August 31, 2026

Albion Online has released the first major patch following the Dragonfire update. Dragonfire Patch 1, released on September 8, 2026, reduces Ancient Lands portal waiting times, speeds up island objectives, and makes several Dragon Sanctuary mechanics more consistent.

Albion Online Dragonfire Patch 1 and Ancient Lands

Less waiting at Ancient Lands portals

The biggest changes focus on portal access. Small portals now unlock after 15 minutes instead of 30, while their entry window has increased from 3 to 8 minutes. Medium and large portals remain available for entry for 5 minutes after unlocking, and large portals now last 60 minutes instead of 45.

Ancient Lands portals are also visible on the World Map regardless of distance, making it easier for groups to find a suitable entrance.

Faster island objectives

  • Regular enemies on large Ancient Lands islands have 50% less health; Drakes are unchanged.
  • Island objectives now complete after killing 50% of the island’s enemies instead of earning a fixed amount of Fame.
  • Marmots do not count toward objective progress.
  • Ancient Lands Blessings should no longer disappear after a knockdown or death.
  • A bug causing certain enemies to drop excessive Silver has been fixed.

Albion Online Dragon Sanctuary and Dragonfire content

Dragon Sanctuary and Azaryon fixes

Maeve’s boulders should no longer rarely dash during Primal Dragon Flame, and Rock Spike stacks now clear correctly when the effect ends.

Azaryon’s Inferno deals significantly more damage near the end if the raid ignores the rock-hiding mechanic. The duration of Lingering Dragon Spirit has also been shortened by roughly two hours, making weekly raid planning easier.

A small but meaningful Oathkeepers nerf

The auto-attack healing of Blessed Aurora has been reduced from 66 to 50. The number may look small, but the lower sustained healing can be noticeable in long organized-group fights.

What does this mean for players?

  • Small groups: Less time spent searching and waiting for portals.
  • Ancient Lands farmers: Faster clears and more predictable island objectives.
  • Raid groups: Following Azaryon’s intended mechanics is now more important.
  • Oathkeepers users: Reassess the build’s sustain after the Blessed Aurora adjustment.

AlbionTR verdict: Patch 1 focuses on removing early Dragonfire friction. Small and medium-sized groups exploring the Ancient Lands benefit the most.
