Albion Online: Dragonfire Patch 3 is live. Released on October 12, 2026, the patch makes Ancient Lands portals easier to access, adjusts dragon encounters, and adds new mobile targeting options. A limited-time 15% Fame and loot bonus is also active in the Ancient Lands and Dragon Sanctuary.

More frequent Ancient Lands portals

Small portals in Yellow Zones now spawn more often: the average spawn time drops from 45 minutes to about 15.5 minutes. The chance of appearing in a region rises from 25% to 33%, the lock time falls from 15 minutes to 5 minutes, and the entry window increases from 8 to 10 minutes.

The trade-off is a 30% reduction to Fame and loot from Small Yellow Zone Portals. Small Portals in Red and Black Zones are not subject to this reward reduction. Large Portals are also 50% more likely to appear and are more likely to show up during prime time.

Dragon loot and PvE adjustments

  • Some loot has been moved from the four regular Drake chests to the central Fire Drake chest, with a significantly higher chance of new armor artifacts.
  • Ancient Lands mob health and damage have been reduced by 10% on Small and Medium islands and by 20% on Large islands.
  • The Maeve encounter has been made more forgiving, especially near the end of the fight.
  • Open-world Dragons no longer fully heal when reset. They return to the last 20% health threshold reached and now grant more Might.

15% Fame and loot bonus for seven days

The 15% bonus applies in the Ancient Lands and Dragon Sanctuary until October 18 at 23:00 UTC on Albion Asia, and October 19 at 10:00 UTC on Albion Europe and Americas.

New mobile targeting options

Mobile players can filter target cycling by Enemies, Allies, or Party Members. Enable the feature under Settings → Controls → Auto-Targeting, then switch modes from the HUD. An Automatic mode selects an option based on your abilities and party status. A “Double Tap to Self-Cast” option is also available under Controls → General.

The patch also fixes oversized popup notifications, several Xbox chat issues, and other combat, interface, and gameplay bugs.
